Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.

11 Feb

Located in beautiful Woodstock, New York, the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary has been rescuing and housing abused, neglected animals in need for 6 years. What started with just 4 chickens has now turned into a ‘picturesque paradise’ for over 200 pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, geese, goats, turkeys and cows. Most of these animals had a rough life before they arrived at the sanctuary, many had been left for dead and some were seized from illegal slaughter houses and hoarders. Just as humans do, animals tend to overcome their fears when they are shown love, kindness and attention. This is precisely what Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary does 🙂

Driven by the simple philosophy that ‘kindness and respect to other animals is our moral duty and that all the creatures that share this Earth are here WITH us not FOR us’, WFAS founders Jenny Brown and Doug Abel are the forces that drive this sanctuary. They open the gates of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary to the public so the people can see and meet the animals that they eat 😦 This usually ends up being a good thing because lots of people leave their trip to WFAS new vegans/vegetarians 🙂

You can donate, volunteer or sponsor an animal who is living at WFAS,  all donations are tax deductible.

Peace. Love. And Happy Farm Animals.
