Melissa, This is a great site and I agree with your perspectives. Do you offer Fitness Training Classes as well?

Thanks for mentioning The Shepherd’s Flock in your blog. What a tremendous sense of validation it gave me. I have dedicated my life to animal welfare and, at times, I feel like my friends are moving on with their lives, while I clean the same litter boxes over and over. Still, the satisfaction of placing a homeless animal in a loving home cannot be beat. (I just found a loving home for a cat last weekend, who has been living in our shelter for almost 2 years!)
My husband and I are vegetarians and, in fact, I am hitting the road in just a few minutes to meet with our new, vegan nutritionist. Looking forward to hearing more about your fashion finds – – stylish, animal friendly clothing has been a challenge for us…my bank account can only handle 1 or 2 Stella McCartney pieces at a time!

      Hi Stacy,
I am so glad you came across this blog. Your work does not go unnoticed at all and it is much appreciated by myself and other ‘animal people’ like us. It makes me so happy to hear that you placed a cat after so long. It just goes to show that there is a home for every animal, sometimes it just takes more time then most are willing to give. People like you make this world a better place, I know it is hard not to compare your live to others but please know your work in not in vein and that you are an angel to these animals that have no where else to go!!!
Good Luck with the vegan nutritionist and keep up all the great work. If you ever have an event or want me to place an ad for an animal you have for adoption please don’t hesitate to drop a line.
      Yours In Compassion,

Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and site. I came across your blog today and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in getting 1 for free to review when it’s out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

In case you don’t know, our site SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a fun level-up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue

Veggie is good for people for fit. Veggie is also good for our best friends, dogs as well, especially overweight dogs!
