Whiten Up.

23 May

Sometimes the easiest way to get a whiter smile is to just throw on some ‘do-it-yourself’ teeth whitening strips. Unfortunately for those of us who care, most of the companies who make these teeth whiteners test on animals 😦 So while I was in Harmon last week I was lurking in the teeth bleaching kits area and saw a brand called ‘Dental Source’. Never heard of it before but was intrigued because their product cost half the price of the big name brand ones. Plus it was on sale, making it even more tempting. So I bought them. Figured if this company tests on animals I can simply not use them since they did not break the bank.

So I looked up Ranir which is the company who makes these Dental Source Whitening Wraps and I come to find out that they do not test on animals 🙂 Ranier was founded by a dentist and they makes lots of dental products from toothpaste and floss to whitening kits and toothbrushes. Knowing these are not tested on animals gave me the go ahead to use them and I must say I am liking them. Unlike lots of other teeth whitening kits, these are not some flimsy strips that are coated with stuff, they are more like a mouth guard. A one time, mold-able mouth guard coated with just the right amount of bleaching agent. It bonds to your teeth super well and does not slide at all, they are to be used 3o minutes a day for 14 days.

Finding out stuff like this makes me happy. I like knowing that there are so many companies that do not test on animals and the best part is most of the things I find that are cruelty free can be found in the most basic drug stores. So if you’re looking to brighten up your smile look for ‘Dental Source Whitening Wraps’. They work and are cruelty free.

Where did you see that they don’t test on animals and do you know if the product is vegan?

They are on PETA’s list of companies that do not test on animals.
None of the ingredients in this teeth whitener contain animal ingredients, it’s just peroxide and stuff.

Simply not using a product that does not test on animals does not help boycott companies that test on animals. Not purchasing the product from the company is what makes a difference. If we were to buy Crest white strips and throw the package away without using them, Crest really wouldn’t know the difference–nor would they care.

We don’t care if Crest doesn’t care.
We boycott simply because WE DO CARE.
