October 1st Is World Vegetarian Day.

25 Sep

Since October is vegetarian awareness month it is only appropriate that October 1st is World Vegetarian Day. The North American Vegetarian Society is offering up gifts and prizes to those who choose to go meat free for the month of October. You can get all the details on their website below, they have outreach materials you can hand out, participation forms etc.

I encourage everyone to go vegetarian for at least 1 day, October 1st but I would like you non-vegetarians to consider taking the whole month off of meat. They say it only takes 22 days to establish a new routine and to break an old habit. Why not use these 31 months in October to get your health, mind and fitness right by going vegetarian? I know that the word vegetarian always gets boiled down to food but the lifestyle is so much bigger than that. Being vegetarian is not only good for you but great for the planet and of course for the animals. Now take these 31 days and make the change πŸ˜‰
