Do You LOVE Animals Yet You Get Botox? Read On…

Botox. It is EVERYWHERE, especially for woman like me, aged 31 almost 32. This is the time when most of the woman who fancy plastic surgery and injectables start to get it on. My big beef is not even with the cosmetic vanity of it cuz those who know me, know that I am into looking good period. Face creams, scrubs, chemical peels, self tanner, teeth whitening. I do it, have done it all. So let it be known that my ‘crusade’ against Botox is not deep seeded in ‘being a hater’ towards the people who ‘look better than me’, it is deep seeded in my love for animals and life. And to keep it real, hurting animals for the sake of vanity is just not cool to me. Not at all.

As we all know, Botox freezes the muscles of wherever it is injected. But in order to know how much Botox to administer on us, it must be tested on animals first. Furry little friends are injected with toxins so you can get that ‘smooth shiny forehead’ that I use to check my lipstick status on. Botox is made from botulinum toxin A which is one of the most toxic, poisonous bacteria ever discovered. Before we found the ‘cure’ it would paralyze and kill people, now we just inject it in ‘small administered’ doses into our faces?!? (Please, please, please someone else comment and tell me I am not that only one who gets super freaked out about that. Does is sound as scary to you as it does to me?) Since every batch of Botox is so toxic, every batch has to be tested on animals to so they can learn the different degrees of paralysis that come from Botox. So yeah, they are paralyzing living animals so you can get your ‘wrinkle free face’ on. The animals that get shot up with the most ‘tox die from suffocation because their respiratory systems become paralyzed from the poison. The others are then continually used to help them find the ‘right amount’. In the end most are killed by being gassed or having their necks broken with a pen. I’m not trying to be foul, this is all over the internet, go ahead and see for yourself.

But there is some good news for those who do fancy a shot of Botox but also care about the furry friends, the company Allergan has come up with a way to test their ‘botox’ on in-vitro cells instead of animals. The FDA has approved this method and it should be put to use soon. This will save all those animals from dying horrible deaths, all the other ones who are born only to be tested on and it will able people to get their ‘beauty’ on in a cruelty-free fashion. At the end of the day everyone and their momma has the right to LOOK GOOD and FEEL GOOD but doing it at the expense of innocent furry friends is a bit harsh. Plus there are lots of people who get Botox for medical issues, they genuinely need it and it helps them. Those people deserve to be able to get the help they need without the side of animal cruelty, that’s all I’m saying. Someone has gotta speak up for those little furry guys who can’t speak for themselves, check the links below for other people’s takes on the topic…

A natural alternative to botox is Natox which is made entirely from organic materials and uses a different technique to act on lines and wrinkles. This clinically proven product is not tested on animals.
