Bye Bye Bat Wings.

Do you have bat wings? Believe it or not, there is a good chance you do. Even many of us who work out still manage to have those ‘bat wings’. You know that loose, flabby skin that when you stick your arm out to the side kind of hangs down and giggles all around. Those ‘bat wings’. Well if bat wings are the bad news than the good news would be that you can get rid of those wings with a few simple exercises that will help you tone up your triceps. Your triceps are the smaller muscles that run down the back of your arms. Bat wings are one of the most common complaints people have about their bodies and trust me, with time and gravity. those wings will only get worse. So stop them now.

Even though your triceps are not as big as your biceps, I personally think they have the ability to make your arms look far worse than weak biceps can. When the triceps are flabby they just kind of mush against your back and sides, in turn making you look heavier than you are and causing you to swear off tank tops and sleeveless dresses. Trust me, I know all about this, I tipped the scales at 180 (I am 5’4) at the age of 19 and I had the WORST arms for YEARS. You have no idea how much I hated my arms, they were tone dead, nothing but flabbiness and mush. No shape, no muscle,  just whack. One top of being physically unattractive, they were also weak, my arms were the 1-2 punch of pathetic. Now a days I pack ‘baby gunz’ and the part I am most proud of are my triceps 😉

So luckily for us, toning our triceps can be done lots of places other than the gym. I gym train so I am not knocking it but I also love basic exercises like triceps dips and triangle push ups that work the triceps without the aid of a machine or free weights. Other exercises like the triceps extensions do require free weights but a light dumbbell will do for those of you who are just starting out. I find it is very easy to pull your triceps because they tend to be quite weak and underdeveloped if you are just starting a training program. Even if you are seasoned it happens, so choose your weight with caution and be sure you can use and do use proper form through out the exercise.
